Training New Referees in Oman
Growing the game
Touch is growing fast and we’re now seeing more of it in Oman!
Steve and Enzo were there this past weekend training new referees at the invitation of Oman Rugby. We had refs from all different backgrounds, including over 20 Omanis.
Olympic Pathway
Getting more refs trained up and ready is all part of pathway to launching more leagues and tournaments in Oman, and to eventually see an Olympic qualifying rugby team. The Savills Super 6s is proud to support that mission and growth!
A Training & A Social Tournament
We started the morning with a classroom session then went out to the pitch for some practicals. Then in the afternoon, we had over 50 players show up for a friendly tournament to help get the refs some experience. It was amazing to see players from ages 5 to 73 out there, by far our youngest and oldest yet!
